Puppy Classes and Dog Training at Dee-O-Gee Billings

Dee-O-Gee is proud to offer New Puppy Classes and Dog Training Classes at our convenient West End location. All classes are taught by certified professionals. At Dee-O-Gee, we do not believe in "heavy handed" force filled training. Instead, we focus on the overall relationship with your pup in a holistic manner, helping you to have an engaged, respectful and thriving pup!

During our classes at Dee-O-Gee, we will be practicing force-free dog training. This means that we will be using positive reinforcement (treats, play, and praise) and will not be using “negative corrections” or aversive tools/actions.

ABOUT OUR TRAINERS

Kaly Martell

Kaly is a lifelong animal lover and first began professionally training dogs as an apprentice in 2013. When she started grooming in 2014, canine behavior was brought to the forefront of her life and she discovered a natural ability to read dog's body language and make them feel comfortable during grooming. In 2016, Kaly adopted a heeler mix puppy named Kallie from Rimrock Humane Society and immediately jumped into the world of professional dog training. She began training Kallie for dog sports, and by learning how to be a team with her dog, she fell in love with training and animal behavior. Kaly began a journey of self-education through studying the works of Karen Pryor, Jean Donaldson, Patricia McConnal, Denise Fenzi, and other influential dog trainers and behaviorists. Then, she began taking classes from the Fenzi Academy and observing classes and learning from a local dog trainer. She is currently wrapping up CPDT-KA certification and will begin working on a certification from the Karen Pryor Academy, Fear-Free Pet Professionals, and CCFT (certified canine fitness trainer) in 2019.
